The Fifth Day of the Drupchen, August 2008

Recorded on 24 August 2008

Prayers for World Peace Drubchen of Guru Rinpoche

The Drupchen of Guru Rinpoche was a magnificent success and our precious teacher Patrul Rinpoche says that this excellent experience was due to the power of the student’s wishes.

Tibet Dzogchen Drupchen

Rinpoche explained that “In Dzogchen monastery, when we make Drupchen, the fifth day is a very important day. We call that day the bumdrup”.
Rinpoche told us that as a sign of blessings a special siddhi, which is real amrita, comes from the torma’s called the DrupTor”.

This was especially so for the Fourth Dzogchen Rinpoche; Mingyur Namkhe Dorje.

Rinpoche continued  ”this amrita starts on the fifth day of the Drupchen. It is amazing and before I heard it myself it was difficult to believe. Later, I myself became chöpön, and for 6 years, and I made the torma’s with tsampa and butter. During the Drupchen I was very curious how amrita could be coming from the torma’s. On the fifth day my root teacher came around the mandala and said "how is going with the torma’s?” He said that since the Fourth Dzogchen Rinpoche amrita is coming from the torma’s, adding that he was not sure that it would happen as he himself was not a special master. On the fifth day we made a special tsok offering, and after the invocation, everyone would feel relaxed. In the evening amrita started coming out from all sides of the torma, first on the torma of Guru Rinpoche and then on all the torma’s. I collected a lot of amrita”.

Our drubchen also showed signs of blessings. Rinpoche said “I offered this kind of tradition to you, and due to the power of students' wishes, magnificent signs appeared Rainbows appeared throughout the Drupchen and on the fifth day (bumdrup) the statue of Guru Rinpoche arrived without prior arrangement to arrive on that day.

Also since I arrived in Europe more than 10 years ago, we have tried to publish a book but it never happened. We also wanted to have this book ready before the Drupchen, but it was impossible, there were always different circumstances. Finally it came out and was delivered on the fifth day of the Drupchen”.

Rinpoche also put Dharma pills inside the mandala during the Drupchen, and he said that one of them has become a white relic (riksel). Rinpoche says that if the relic is good, it will multiply itself. If it happens he will give them to us.

It was an amazing experience and all the students were very happy to have been able to participate.

We would all like to thank our perfect guide for his kindness and blessings and for making this happen, allowing us to take part in this Drupchen for world peace and to assist in keeping alive the traditions of our lineage was a privilege and a cause for much happiness in the future.

Rinpoche Said “So much benefit has come from this Drupchen and thank you to all the precious students and organisers”.

The Drubchen was part of the World Peace Prayers, organised in Dharma City, Belgium, 5 to 16 August 2008. The Fifth Day was 14 August 2008.
