Uma Tsawa Sherab - Shedra in Tibet
Subject:
The Root Stanzas on the Middle Way Shedra in Tibet under the guidance of Patrul Rinpoche
We are very happy to inform you that in 2010, the Zangdok Palri Institute summer courses will take place in Dzogchen, Tibet and in Dharma City, Belgium. The courses are open for all the students of the Six-Year Dzogchen Practitioner’s Course and for new students. It is mandatory to do one of the courses.
The Course in Dzogchen, Tibet takes place from 20 of July to the 5 of August 2010. The 20 July is the Opening Ceremony of the Zangdok Palri Temple. Rinpoche has given a long interview to explain the importance of this Temple. You are encouraged to read it... The teachings will take place from the 21 of July till the 5 of August. From the 6 of August till the 10 of August is the possibility to go for a pilgrimage.
The text which will be studied during the retreats is: " The Root Stanzas on the Middle Way " (" Uma Tsawa Sherab ") by Nagarjuna.
Rinpoche’s wish is to make it possible for all his students to go to Dzogchen. Therefore we make the course fee for Tibet as low as possible with a day price of only 15 €. But this amount will only cover costs for food and preparing facilities on site. To make this project financially possible we will have to find sponsors for: the Tsok, the Teachers, the Monks, Offerings and the coordination point in Chengdu, etc.
To have an opportunity to choose one’s own level of price and comfort, we will not organize a common trip from Chengdu. The students will have to pay their travel to Dzogchen themselves. To make that easier we will have a base in Chengdu, to help for the travel to Dzogchen, to book a hotel, bus, car and other practical things like shopping, camping equipment, mobile connection, money exchange.
During the course doctors will be present for the medical care – especially focused on high altitude sickness.
The enrollment will start in March and from now we will send out regular information about the Shedra in Tibet.
The Course in Dharma City, Belgium will be from the 20 of August till the 5 of September 2010.
