Shedra in Dzogchen 2016

Subject:
The Three Words that Strike the Vital Point

2016 is the year of the fire monkey and it is considered very auspicious in the Tibetan calendar: many inaugurations will take place in Tibet, in particular Dzogchen.

Rinpoche invites all his students to join the 2016 Shedra in Dzogchen and enjoy this very auspicious moment.

The schedule is given below. The shortest travel time is estimated at 3 weeks, but 4 weeks may be a better duration for a more confortable journey.

In order to enrol to this Shedra, please send us an email with

  • The participant's enrolment form complete
  • For non-participants, the non-participant's enrolment form complete
  • your flights itinary (mandatory for completing your registration)
  • the details of your hotel booking in Chengdu, if any.
  • a travel insurance policy (including the policy number)
  • your wishes concerning the trip from Chengdu to Dzogchen (jeep, bus, plane)
  • Payment before the deadline is not required for completing your registration, since most payments will take place in Chengdu or on site.
  • Deadline for enrolments: 30 June 2016

It is Patrul Rinpoche's wish to organise Dharma teachings affordable to everyone. However, as organisers, we are very much aware of the real cost to provide these teachings. This year, the daily contribution has been set to 30€/day per participant (before the enrolment deadline, 35€ after the deadline). This may seem enough, but due to the high inflation in China within the last ten years, and the facility built next to the Zangdok Palri Temple to welcome participants in much better conditions than before, this amount will certainly not cover the real cost of the event. We therefore kindly call upon participants for their understanding and generosity.

Participants' contributions will be made in Chengdu or on site, or can be made via one of Patrul Rinpoche's centres coordinators.

To help participants filling up jeeps, you will find hereafter links to the "doodle" website. When you have filled up a jeep (after asking all other passengers), please send an email to info@zpi.patrulrinpoche.net with the composition of your jeep (one email per jeep). Organisers will only take into consideration your official request by email, which commits you to hiring a jeep.

Note: maximum 4 passengers per jeep; as a measure of privacy, you can identify yourself with the first three letters of your firstname. If you do not recognise another passenger, please contact us by email.
